You will also play an important role in developing technicians, improving workshop productivity, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily workshop operations to achieve productivity and efficiency goals.
- Allocate repair jobs and manage technician workloads effectively.
- Ensure all vehicle repairs meet manufacturer quality standards.
- Monitor workshop performance using key operational metrics and KPIs.
- Promote a “Fix It Right the First Time” approach to improve customer satisfaction.
- Coach, train, and support technicians to enhance technical skills and performance.
- Manage warranty repair activities while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and inventory in good condition.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase workshop efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Solid knowledge of automotive workshop operations and dealership practices.
- Experience monitoring productivity, utilization, and workshop KPIs.
- Good understanding of quality assurance and warranty processes.
- Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to service excellence.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Automotive technical certifications are an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in automotive workshop operations.
- Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor or Team Leader position.
- Hands-on experience working in an automotive dealership environment.
