As a Workshop Planner, you will serve as the key link between Service Advisors, technicians, and workshop management. Your ability to effectively allocate work, monitor progress, and manage workshop resources will contribute directly to customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and overall service performance.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Planning & Job Allocation

  • Assign repair and maintenance jobs to technicians based on skills, qualifications, and workload capacity.
  • Plan daily workshop activities to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Ensure balanced work distribution across the workshop to improve productivity and performance.
  • Monitor workshop schedules and adjust priorities to meet service commitments.

Vehicle Repair Tracking & Coordination

  • Track work-in-progress (WIP) to ensure repair orders are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor workshop planning boards and job status updates to maintain operational visibility.
  • Coordinate with technicians and supervisors to address delays and workflow challenges.
  • Ensure vehicles move efficiently through the repair process from reception to delivery.

Service Quality & Operational Excellence

  • Support quality initiatives and service standards designed to improve repair accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in reducing rework and enhancing first-time repair success rates.
  • Ensure workshop activities comply with company procedures and manufacturer requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within workshop operations.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate technician time-clocking and workshop productivity records.
  • Identify scheduling issues, capacity constraints, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Escalate workflow deviations and recommend corrective actions when required.
  • Support management reporting related to workshop utilization and service performance.

Customer Service Support

  • Collaborate with Service Advisors to provide accurate repair progress updates.
  • Support timely vehicle delivery by ensuring effective workshop coordination.
  • Help improve customer satisfaction through efficient planning and communication.
  • Contribute to a positive customer experience by minimizing service delays.

  • Experience using workshop management systems or dealership software platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
  • Familiarity with automotive manufacturer service standards.
  • Experience with SAP or similar dealership management systems.
  • Good command of English; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
  • Valid UAE driving license preferred.
