We seek a dynamic and experienced Workshop Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day workshop floor activities. This role plays a critical part in driving aftersales performance by ensuring adherence to the Fix It Right (FIR) process, collaborating with internal departments and the distributor team, and delivering vehicles on time in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Performance Management:
- Drive after-sales revenue by optimising sold hours and setting performance targets.
- Enforce compliance with FIR procedures as per distributor standards.
- Identify FIR-related issues and implement corrective actions aligned with key performance indicators.
- Submit technical field reports according to distributor requirements.
Workshop Efficiency & Quality Control:
- Monitor and improve technician productivity, utilisation, and efficiency in line with SOPS.
- Conduct quality control reviews, addressing deviations through training and process improvements.
- Lead monthly audits for oil and consumables and manage wash bay product inventory.
Team Development & Management:
- Provide on-the-job coaching and assess training needs to upskill team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement individual development plans.
- Foster associate engagement through impact planning sessions and team development.
- Oversee recruitment in alignment with the workshop’s capacity model.
Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure full compliance with warranty procedures and brand regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment according to the principal’s approved list and standards.
- Manage the facility to reflect brand image and meet HSSE requirements.
- Drive 100% adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures.
Customer Experience & Project Support:
- Support special initiatives aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and address concerns promptly and effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
- 8–10 years of experience in an automotive dealership after-sales environment, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role
- Solid understanding of dealership and distributor business processes
- Prior experience with American automotive brands is highly desirable
