Since March 2018, Lefebvre Engineering has obtained ASME certifications to Manufacture, Assemble and Repair Boilers and Pressure Vessels.

Job Details:

Communication skills are essential to work with team members and converse with customers and clients.

Perform welding duties using wire welding GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), or SMAW (Stick Welding).

Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions. Welds range from simple tasks to complex welds, performed in varying positions.

Work includes set-up, laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and/or equipment products.

Operate and/or use related equipment and tools which include grinders (portable & bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, a tape measure, and Air Arc.

Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follow manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; call for repairs and complete the daily check sheets.

To weld according to customer or employer specifications.

To use multiple welding machines to repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes.

To set up, operate and maintain welding equipment.

To understand and implement personal and company safety measures by wearing specialized goggles, helmets, and gloves.

Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.

Participate in process and product development and improvement programs, teams, and focus group

Perform or assist in other assigned duties as qualified.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years experience as a welder with 2 years in Steel/Aluminum heavy fabrication works.

Good understanding of quick setups, edge preparations, and welding symbols and techniques.

Ability to read, write and speak in English.

Fitter diploma or any apprentice certifications in Mechanical Engineering.

Able to read and Interpret complex Mechanical Drawings
