Job Purpose
The Warehouse Operations Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the improvement and development of warehouse operations in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on analyzing warehouse processes, monitoring operational performance, identifying efficiency gaps, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, safety, quality, cost efficiency, and resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Process Improvement
- Analyze warehouse operations and workflows to identify opportunities for improving productivity, efficiency, safety, and cost performance.
- Review warehouse processes to identify bottlenecks, operational gaps, and areas requiring optimization.
- Support the implementation of improved warehouse processes, digital solutions, automation, and operational technologies.
- Prepare operational reports, analysis, and recommendations to support warehouse development initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects across warehouse operations.
Performance Monitoring & Operational Support
- Monitor warehouse performance against established KPIs, operational standards, and procedures.
- Analyze warehouse data and performance trends to identify deviations and improvement opportunities.
- Provide guidance on warehouse processes, systems, procedures, and operational practices.
- Track improvement initiatives and provide regular updates on actions, challenges, and results.
- Support warehouse teams in achieving operational and development targets.
Supply Chain & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding warehouse requirements, operational improvements, and supply chain activities.
- Participate in cross-functional projects designed to improve warehouse and supply chain workflows.
- Help identify and resolve operational bottlenecks affecting warehouse performance.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers regarding warehouse operational and technical requirements.
Warehouse Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure warehouse activities follow company policies, standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and applicable standards.
- Participate in warehouse safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and quality reviews.
- Identify operational, safety, and compliance risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures within warehouse operations.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor inventory management processes and analyze warehouse data to identify discrepancies, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving inventory accuracy and warehouse resource utilization.
- Monitor the availability and condition of warehouse equipment, tools, facilities, and operational resources.
- Recommend improvements to warehouse space planning, equipment utilization, and resource allocation.
- Support efficient warehouse operations through effective use of available resources.
General Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
- Complete planned warehouse activities and improvement initiatives within agreed schedules and operational targets.
- Utilize warehouse resources effectively while maintaining cost and time efficiency.
- Prepare periodic reports covering planned activities, execution status, deviations, and improvement actions.
Problem Solving
- Identify and resolve warehouse operational issues within the assigned area.
- Escalate complex operational problems to the appropriate management team.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring warehouse issues.
Quality Improvement
- Support the development and implementation of effective warehouse quality control processes.
- Ensure warehouse processes and operational activities meet established quality requirements and standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve the quality and reliability of warehouse operations.
Business Process Improvement
- Support the development and maintenance of warehouse systems, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and introduce automation and technology solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Compliance
- Follow company policies, warehouse procedures, work instructions, and applicable operational requirements.
- Ensure warehouse activities are conducted in accordance with relevant standards and internal controls.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Promote compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures across warehouse activities.
- Support safe working practices and help maintain a safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure operational activities comply with applicable safety and environmental requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, inventory management, or operational improvement.
- Experience in warehouse process analysis, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement is preferred.
