A leading engineering company is seeking an experienced Turbomachinery Service Engineer to join its technical services team in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in turbomachinery maintenance, gas seal systems, centrifugal compressors, and rotating equipment.

The successful candidate will provide field service support, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical assistance for turbomachinery equipment at customer locations. The role involves working closely with clients to ensure equipment reliability, optimize performance, and deliver high-quality engineering services across onshore and offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities

Field Service & Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of turbomachinery equipment.
  • Conduct disassembly, inspection, rebuilding, and reassembly of mechanical components according to manufacturer standards.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for rotating equipment and gas seal systems.

Technical Support

  • Provide technical assistance to customers during installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
  • Recommend equipment upgrades and performance improvements based on operational assessments.
  • Deliver technical guidance on turbomachinery systems and related engineering solutions.
  • Assist customers in resolving complex mechanical and operational issues.

Site Operations

  • Execute field service assignments at industrial facilities, power plants, refineries, and oil & gas sites.
  • Prepare equipment, spare parts, and specialized tools before site mobilization.
  • Follow approved engineering procedures and safety standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Support both onshore and offshore service operations, including international assignments when required.

Inspection & Reporting

  • Conduct detailed equipment inspections and prepare technical service reports.
  • Document maintenance findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  • Complete inspection records, commissioning documents, and customer handover reports.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation in accordance with company standards.

Customer Support & Training

  • Build strong relationships with customers by providing professional technical support.
  • Conduct training sessions on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and service technicians to improve technical capability.
  • Identify opportunities for additional maintenance services and equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in turbomachinery, centrifugal compressors, rotating equipment, or field service engineering.
  • Experience working with gas seal systems and industrial compressors.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively for domestic and international assignments.
  • Previous experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial service environments is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of turbomachinery maintenance and rotating equipment.
  • Experience with centrifugal compressors, dry gas seals, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of alignment techniques and precision measurement tools.
