Job Overview

Al-Futtaim Automotive is seeking a Transport & Service Supervisor to support transport planning and vehicle service operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position is responsible for coordinating vehicle movements, optimizing fleet utilization, monitoring transport performance, and ensuring vehicles are dispatched and serviced according to operational requirements.

The role involves close coordination with yard teams, drivers, suppliers, service providers, customers, and internal departments. The successful candidate will also monitor fleet costs, fuel consumption, employee allowances, reporting, and service-level performance while ensuring compliance with applicable KSA safety and operational standards.

Strong planning, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are important for managing daily transport activities in a fast-paced automotive supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

Transport Planning & Fleet Coordination

• Plan and coordinate daily vehicle transportation activities to support efficient fleet operations.
• Use SAP effectively for transport planning, scheduling, and day-to-day operational transactions.
• Maintain accurate system information and ensure transport activities are properly recorded.
• Monitor vehicle availability and allocate fleet resources according to operational priorities and customer requirements.
• Maximize fleet utilization while maintaining appropriate resource control.
• Coordinate vehicle movement, dispatch, offloading, and servicing activities within the automotive yard.
• Ensure vehicles are available and dispatched according to agreed timelines and operational requirements.

Fleet Cost & Fuel Management

• Monitor fleet operating costs and fuel consumption on a regular basis.
• Review fuel usage and identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency.
• Investigate operational shortfalls and develop corrective action plans.
• Monitor trip allowances and other transport-related expenses.
• Maintain accurate records of transport costs and operational allowances.

Safety & Driver Management

• Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to reduce vehicle accidents, damage, and supply chain incidents.
• Give particular attention to road traffic safety and incidents involving heavy vehicles.
• Conduct regular toolbox training sessions for heavy vehicle (HV) drivers.
• Reinforce safe vehicle handling and responsible driving practices.
• Ensure transport activities follow applicable safety procedures and KSA operational requirements.
• Report safety concerns and support corrective actions where required.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare monthly Trip Allowance Reports and Vehicle Offload Reports.
• Prepare Overtime Allowance, Car Carrier Allowance, Payroll, and Petty Cash Reports.
• Submit accurate and timely billing statements to the Transport Manager.
• Maintain proper transport records and supporting documentation.
• Ensure reports are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.
• Monitor operational data to identify trends, service gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

Customer Service & KPI Management

• Understand customer lead times, service requirements, and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Coordinate transport activities to meet or exceed customer service expectations.
• Monitor monthly customer KPIs against agreed SLA targets.
• Track performance and identify areas requiring improvement.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve transport-related issues.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers, service providers, and yard teams.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in any relevant discipline.
• Additional qualifications in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain, Fleet Management, or Operations are an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in transport planning, fleet operations, warehousing, logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in automotive logistics or vehicle transportation is an advantage.
• Practical experience with transport coordination and fleet utilization.
• Experience preparing operational, financial, payroll, or transport performance reports.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems is beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Good working knowledge of SAP for transport planning and operational activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for preparing reports and analyzing operational information.
• Ability to monitor fleet availability, fuel consumption, operating costs, and transport KPIs.
• Strong logical thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to make timely operational decisions based on available information.
