Key Responsibilities
Tender and Proposal Preparation
- Review requests for quotations (RFQs), invitations to tender (ITTs), EPC inquiries, customer specifications, and related tender documentation.
- Analyze electrical documents, including single-line diagrams, load schedules, datasheets, project specifications, and applicable standards.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for products such as LV switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, distribution boards, capacitor banks, VFD panels, synchronization panels, and control panels.
- Develop technical compliance statements, clarifications, and deviation lists where required.
- Ensure tender submissions are complete, accurate, and delivered within specified deadlines.
Cost Estimation and BOM Preparation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project requirements and approved pricing information.
- Select appropriate electrical components, materials, and products from approved manufacturers.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) for tendering and estimation activities.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and vendor quotations when required.
- Review supplier offers from both technical and commercial perspectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost competitiveness while maintaining required quality and technical compliance.
Technical Evaluation and Compliance
- Review customer, consultant, utility, project, and applicable international standards.
- Evaluate technical requirements such as fault levels, busbar ratings, IP ratings, forms of separation, protection requirements, and panel configurations.
- Confirm that proposed solutions meet project specifications and customer requirements.
- Identify technical gaps, risks, and unclear requirements and raise appropriate clarifications.
- Participate in technical discussions and tender clarification meetings when required.
Coordination and Stakeholder Support
- Coordinate with sales, engineering, design, procurement, suppliers, customers, and consultants throughout the tendering process.
- Provide technical support and clarification to the sales team during proposal preparation.
- Work with design and engineering teams to confirm the feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Support the transition of awarded projects to engineering and execution teams.
- Follow up with relevant departments to resolve technical and commercial matters related to tenders.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain organized records of tenders, estimates, technical documents, pricing information, and related correspondence.
- Update standard costing templates, BOMs, pricing references, and estimation databases when necessary.
- Prepare tender summaries, bid status reports, and other management reports.
- Ensure tender documentation is properly maintained and readily available for future reference.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Work Experience
- 4–6 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in electrical tendering, estimation, switchgear, electrical panels, or a related field would be relevant to the role.
