This role primarily supports the Shopping Malls Business Unit (SMBU) in advancing its sustainability objectives. Responsibilities include data gathering, reporting, and ensuring compliance with net-zero and net-positive targets. Additionally, the role involves fostering collaboration with regional teams, enhancing communication about sustainability efforts internally and externally, and developing strategies to reduce carbon footprint and enhance community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze data to report on SMBU’s progress towards net-zero and net-positive targets.
Ensure compliance with relevant assurance and compliance requirements such as ARC, LEED, GRESB, and JLL Sustainability auditing.
Collaborate with the Associate Manager, Sustainability, to align regional teams with SMBU’s sustainability agenda.
Develop communication processes to effectively convey SMBU’s sustainability commitment and achievements.
Contribute to implementing practices that reduce carbon usage, increase recycling, promote circular economy, and engage with local communities.
Conduct ad hoc analysis of utility usage across the portfolio to set tailored reduction targets.
Uphold MAFP SMBU’s Code of Conduct and departmental policies, as well as HR policies and procedures.
Role Purpose:
The primary focus of this role is to support the Sustainability agenda within the Shopping Malls Business Unit (SMBU), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of sustainability across the company.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Gather and report data to support SMBU’s commitment to achieving Net Zero and Net Positive targets.
Collect and manage submissions related to assurance and compliance requirements, such as ARC, LEED, GRESB, and JLL Sustainability auditing.
Collaborate with the Associate Manager, Sustainability, to enhance cooperation with regional teams and promote SMBU’s Sustainability agenda.
Develop new communication processes to effectively communicate SMBU’s sustainability commitment and successes internally, to tenants, and customers.
Contribute to the implementation of new practices aimed at reducing carbon usage, increasing recycling rates, promoting circular economy practices, and enhancing community outreach.
Conduct ad hoc data analysis of utility usage to support the development of asset-specific reduction targets.
Ensure compliance with MAFP SMBU’s Code of Conduct, departmental policies, and HR Policies and Procedures at all times.
Advocate for and embody the MAFP values throughout the company, ensuring adherence and alignment at all levels.
Personal Characteristics and Required Background:
Minimum Qualifications/Education:
A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
Minimum Experience:
3-5 years of practical experience in the field of Sustainability.
