The Store Manager is responsible for leading overall store performance with a strong focus on sales growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. This role oversees day-to-day store operations while inspiring, training, and developing a high-performing team to consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Financial Performance

Drive and exceed store sales, conversion, and profitability targets

Manage payroll, shrinkage, and operating costs to maximise margins

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to boost revenue and control expenses
Store Operations & Compliance
-
Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention standards

Safeguard company assets through accurate inventory control, stock movement, returns, and exchanges

Maintain high standards of store upkeep, safety, and organisation
People Leadership & Development

Recruit, train, motivate, and retain high-quality store associates

Build a strong talent pipeline and support succession planning

Lead by example through coaching on product knowledge, selling techniques, and visual standards

Conduct regular team meetings, daily briefings, and performance feedback sessions
Customer Experience & Visual Merchandising

Deliver an outstanding customer experience by actively engaging on the sales floor

Ensure consistent execution of customer service standards through coaching and performance reviews

Implement visual merchandising guidelines, promotions, and seasonal directives

Maintain a clean, organisedized, and visually appealing store and stockroom
Skills & Competencies

Strong command of business English (written and verbal)

Proficient in computer applications including Outlook, Excel, and SAP

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in reporting

High level of numeracy and literacy
Qualifications & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

1–2 years of experience as a Store Manager or in a similar leadership role

Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, profitability, and team development
