A retail company in Dubai, UAE, is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Stock Coordinator to manage inventory, receive and inspect merchandise, maintain accurate stock records, and ensure the smooth movement of products between the stockroom and sales floor.

The Stock Coordinator will work closely with store managers, sales associates, and other team members to maintain efficient stockroom operations, ensure product availability, and uphold retail inventory management standards. Candidates with experience in stock control, warehouse operations, inventory management, or retail logistics are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities of a Stock Coordinator

1. Stock Receiving and Inspection

Receive incoming merchandise and verify quantities against delivery documents and inventory records.
Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Ensure all incoming stock is recorded accurately in the inventory management system.
Label and tag newly received merchandise according to company procedures.

2. Inventory Management and Stock Control

Maintain accurate records of stock received, issued, transferred, and returned.
Monitor inventory levels and help ensure products are available when required.
Organize and classify merchandise in the stockroom for easy identification and retrieval.
Assist with regular stock counts, inventory audits, and stock-taking activities.
Identify missing price tags and report discrepancies to the appropriate team members.

3. Stockroom Organization and Replenishment

Store merchandise safely and systematically to prevent damage and maintain an organized stockroom.
Replenish products on the sales floor to support product availability and daily retail operations.
Coordinate with sales associates to respond to stock requests efficiently.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping, and organization in the stockroom and designated work areas.

4. Security and Workplace Safety

Follow company policies for stock handling, inventory control, and store security.
Remain alert to potential stock loss, unauthorized handling, and inventory discrepancies.
Handle merchandise carefully and comply with workplace health and safety procedures.
Support efficient stockroom operations while minimizing product damage and stock loss.

5. Teamwork and Operational Support

Coordinate with store management and sales teams to support daily store operations.
Assist with seasonal promotions, sales events, festivals, and other peak retail periods.
Work flexible hours when required to meet business and operational needs.
Perform other stock-related duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

Previous experience in stock coordination, retail inventory, warehouse operations, or logistics is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), point-of-sale systems, or inventory software is an advantage.
Ability to maintain accurate stock records and identify inventory discrepancies.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
A responsible approach to merchandise handling, workplace safety, and store security.
Physical fitness to handle merchandise weighing approximately 10 kg, where required.
Flexibility to work extended hours during promotional campaigns, sales, and festive periods.
