The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and improving SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) business processes, gathering business requirements, configuring SAP solutions, conducting system testing, and resolving functional issues. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure efficient SAP operations, successful project delivery, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP SD Functional Expertise and Business Process Improvement

• Provide functional expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and recommend SAP best practices for business process implementation.

• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.

• Lead business requirement workshops with stakeholders to understand operational needs.

• Recommend standard SAP solutions while minimizing unnecessary custom development.

• Identify business process gaps and propose effective functional solutions.

• Support IT governance initiatives, process standardization, and continuous improvement activities.

• Build strong working relationships with business users, colleagues, and customers.

2. SAP SD Configuration, Implementation and Testing

• Design, configure, test, and implement SAP SD business processes in accordance with approved requirements.

• Ensure SAP configurations follow standard system practices and organizational policies.

• Prepare and execute unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing.

• Validate end-to-end business scenarios to ensure system functionality and accuracy.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex SAP functional issues during implementation and testing.

• Support successful SAP deployment and post-implementation activities.

• Minimize system customization by promoting standard SAP functionality.

3. SAP Project Management and Documentation

• Support the planning and execution of SAP implementation projects and system enhancements.

• Coordinate with project teams to ensure deliverables are completed within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Prepare and maintain SAP functional documentation, including:

  • Business Blueprint Documents

  • Functional Design Specifications

  • SAP Configuration Documents

  • Functional Specifications

  • Test Plans and Test Scripts

  • Business Process Procedures

• Monitor project activities and provide updates on implementation progress.

• Ensure SAP solutions meet business requirements and departmental objectives.

4. SAP Functional Support and Incident Management

• Provide functional support for existing SAP SD implementations and productive business systems.

• Investigate and resolve SAP incidents within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Analyze recurring system issues and recommend permanent corrective solutions.

• Coordinate with technical teams and business users to resolve complex functional problems.

• Review and manage system change requests through established Request for Change (RFC) procedures.

• Ensure system enhancements and modifications follow approved IT governance processes.

5. Stakeholder Coordination and Business Support

• Work closely with business departments to understand SAP-related operational requirements.

• Coordinate with IT teams, functional consultants, and business users during implementation and support activities.

• Communicate technical and functional solutions clearly to stakeholders.

• Support user adoption and improve the effectiveness of SAP business processes.

Academic Qualification

– Bachelor’s degree in Information Management Sciences and Systems or a relevant field.

Work Experience
