The role involves coordinating Graduate Trainee programs, National Trainee development, internships, work placements, summer training programs, career fairs, and employee development activities. The successful candidate will work closely with recruitment teams, business departments, training teams, HR functions, and UAE National employees to ensure effective career development and engagement.

This opportunity is suitable for professionals with a bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience in HR, Emiratisation, talent development, training coordination, or a related operational field.

Key Responsibilities

Emiratisation and Talent Development

  • Support the implementation of Emiratisation strategies and programs to attract, develop, and retain UAE Nationals.
  • Identify the training and development needs of UAE National employees, Graduate Trainees, and National Trainees.
  • Coordinate training programs based on the development needs of Graduate Trainees and National Trainees.
  • Monitor trainee progress and ensure development plans support current job requirements and future career opportunities.
  • Review individual development plans to ensure they meet the needs of both employees and business departments.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with Graduate Trainees and relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with managers, supervisors, mentors, and business teams to evaluate trainee performance and development.
  • Identify additional training requirements and recommend suitable development activities.
  • Support the smooth transition of Graduate Trainees into their permanent roles after successful completion of their programs.

Graduate Trainee Program Management

  • Coordinate assigned courses and training activities for Graduate Trainees at different levels.
  • Monitor Graduate Trainee engagement, progress, development, and overall satisfaction.
  • Organize familiarization tours for Corporate and Operations Graduate Trainees.
  • Arrange customized familiarization programs based on individual trainee or business-area requirements.
  • Coordinate with training centers to ensure Graduate Trainees attend required leadership and development courses.
  • Follow up with trainees to ensure assignments and program requirements are completed on time.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments when Graduate Trainees require support or assistance.
  • Escalate trainee-related concerns to the appropriate business or HR teams when necessary.
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure Graduate Trainees move into their assigned roles smoothly.

UAE National Recruitment and Engagement

  • Support initiatives to attract UAE Nationals through career fairs, exhibitions, recruitment events, and other talent acquisition activities.
  • Work with the Recruitment Team to obtain profiles and joining information for incoming Graduate Trainees.
  • Coordinate with recruitment teams to ensure Graduate Trainees are allocated to positions that match their qualifications and development plans.
  • Maintain effective communication with UAE National employees and Graduate Trainees throughout their development journey.
  • Support engagement initiatives designed to improve Graduate Trainee experience and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Communications to share relevant Emiratisation and trainee-program activities through approved communication channels.

Internship and Student Programs

  • Coordinate with the Scholarship Team regarding sponsored students participating in work placement, internship, and summer training programs.
  • Work with business areas to obtain development plans for students and trainees.
  • Coordinate student training activities across different areas of the organization.
  • Support job-shadowing, job-orientation, workplace visits, and familiarization activities for students.
  • Coordinate summer training opportunities for UAE Nationals.
  • Ensure student and trainee development activities are conducted according to approved company procedures.

HR and Employee Coordination

  • Coordinate with Employee Relations regarding Graduate Trainees joining National Military Service and other employment-related matters.
  • Ensure required documentation and processes are completed before Graduate Trainees are released for National Military Service.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments regarding Graduate Trainee resignations and required follow-up actions.
  • Work with Salary Administration to ensure eligible Graduate Trainees receive applicable increments and allowances.
  • Coordinate with Performance Management teams whenever required.
  • Work with Business Partners and relevant departments to monitor Graduate Trainee progression.
  • Coordinate progression reviews following successful completion of the trainee program, subject to performance requirements.
  • Monitor UAE Nationals working in identified administrative roles and support their development and progress reviews.

Budget and Financial Coordination

  • Assist in preparing, monitoring, and tracking departmental budgets.
  • Provide budget updates to the line manager and relevant team members.
  • Monitor budget availability across relevant cost centers and general ledger accounts.
  • Track expenses related to Graduate Trainee, internship, work placement, and summer training programs.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Department regarding available budgets and program expenditure.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions in SAP for approved external training courses and related activities.
  • Help ensure Emiratisation and trainee-program expenses remain within approved budgets.

Reporting and Data Analysis

  • Prepare reports, records, and data analysis related to Emiratisation and Graduate Trainee activities.
  • Maintain accurate information regarding Graduate Trainees, National Trainees, internships, and training programs.
  • Provide requested reports and data to relevant departments and management.
  • Monitor trainee activities and provide regular updates to the line manager.
  • Report Graduate Trainee progress, development activities, and other relevant matters on a regular basis.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure training activities for Graduate Trainees, interns, work placement students, and summer trainees comply with company safety policies.
  • Follow operational safety procedures during training and workplace activities.
  • Ensure Emiratisation activities comply with applicable company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Policies and Procedures

  • Follow approved policies, procedures, processes, and controls related to Emiratisation and talent development.
  • Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with relevant legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of service quality and professionalism when supporting UAE Nationals and business departments.
  • Assist other sections of the department and support the line manager with additional assignments when required.

Qualifications

Candidates applying for the Senior Officer – Emiratisation job in Dubai should have:
