Job Details:

Looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team and support on a construction supervision project of a large office building complex which will accommodate the client’s administration and operation employees. This project will have related functional and supporting facility buildings in Abu Dhabi.

  • Reviewing contractor’s Mechanical change order proposals and preparing recommendations to MEP PM.
  • Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.
  • Reviewing contractors claims related to Mechanical works and preparing recommendations for claims.
  • Reviewing the contractor’s project record documents relevant to their discipline.
    Some of the key job responsibilities of this role entail this following:
  • Monitoring the Mechanical scope of works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
  • Reviewing, approving and processing all Mechanical technical submittals.
  • Answering RFI’s related to Mechanical.
  • Coordinating and supervising the work of all Mechanical activities and operations.
  • Managing the Mechanical inspectors.
  • Analyzing laboratory and testing reports.
  • Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the Mechanical works.
  • Signing off on completed Mechanical works with completed documentation.
  • Perform all other duties given by MEP PM.
  • Education:
    Excellent knowledge of Mechanical systems, products and materials.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines: Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum Fifteen (15) years experience with minimum of 6 years in Construction Administration and 4 years in the Middle East.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable Mechanical design and construction codes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solution (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
  • Excellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirements.
  • Complete project understanding in given discipline, from start to hand-over.
