Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – International ESG to lead and strengthen Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives across global operations based in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing ESG strategies, implementing sustainability frameworks, overseeing international compliance, and ensuring accurate ESG reporting across multiple subsidiaries. This leadership role requires strong stakeholder management, strategic planning, and expertise in global sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

ESG Strategy & Governance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain ESG policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across international business operations.
  • Ensure all global subsidiaries comply with corporate ESG objectives, international sustainability standards, and applicable local regulations.
  • Drive the execution of the organization’s ESG strategy while promoting continuous improvement across global operations.

ESG Performance & Reporting

  • Design and implement measurable ESG Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with corporate sustainability goals.
  • Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG performance data from international subsidiaries.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent ESG reporting to support corporate disclosures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor ESG performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve sustainability outcomes.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Assess environmental, social, and governance risks across international operations and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor changes in global ESG regulations, reporting standards, and sustainability frameworks to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support internal audits and compliance initiatives related to ESG performance and governance.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with international business leaders, regional teams, and external stakeholders to promote ESG initiatives.
  • Build strong partnerships across departments including Finance, Operations, Legal, Human Resources, and Corporate Affairs to integrate ESG into business planning.
  • Influence leadership teams to embed sustainability principles into operational and strategic decision-making.

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and deliver ESG awareness and training programs for employees across international locations.
  • Promote a culture of sustainability by sharing best practices and encouraging continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and reporting requirements to enhance ESG programs and maintain industry leadership.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification in ESG, Sustainability, or Corporate Governance is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or related fields, including significant international experience.
  • Strong knowledge of global ESG reporting frameworks, sustainability standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience developing ESG strategies, governance policies, and sustainability reporting programs.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities with experience working across multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in ESG reporting platforms, sustainability data management, and analytical tools.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are considered an advantage.
