Job Overview
Al Tayer Insignia is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Hairstylist to join AVEDA Salon in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will provide professional hair cutting, styling, colouring, and treatment services while delivering personalized consultations and outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Consultation and Haircare Advice
- Understand customers’ preferences, hair types, and styling requirements before recommending suitable services.
- Provide professional advice on haircuts, hairstyles, colours, highlights, and specialized hair treatments.
- Guide customers throughout the styling process to ensure the final result meets their expectations.
- Recommend appropriate haircare products and salon services based on individual needs.
- Build long-term relationships with customers through personalized consultations and consistent service quality.
2. Hair Cutting, Styling and Treatment Services
- Perform professional haircuts, trimming, blow-drying, and styling services.
- Deliver hair colouring services, including basic colouring, creative colour techniques, and highlights.
- Perform permanent hair straightening and waving treatments using appropriate professional products.
- Recommend suitable treatments to improve hair appearance and maintain hair health.
- Maintain high standards of technical accuracy, creativity, and customer satisfaction during every service.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain accurate customer records, including previously used hair colour shades, treatment details, and permanent-wave formulas.
- Understand returning customers’ preferences and provide consistent, personalized services.
- Communicate professionally with customers to build trust and encourage repeat salon visits.
- Support customer retention by delivering a welcoming and premium salon experience.
4. Product Knowledge and Industry Trends
- Stay informed about the latest hairstyles, haircare techniques, colouring trends, and beauty industry developments.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of AVEDA haircare products, treatments, and professional services.
- Recommend suitable retail products to help customers maintain their hairstyles and haircare routines at home.
- Continue developing technical skills and product knowledge to deliver high-quality salon services.
5. Salon Hygiene and Professional Standards
- Maintain personal grooming and professional presentation standards.
- Ensure the salon workstation, tools, and equipment remain clean and hygienic.
- Follow salon hygiene procedures and applicable health and safety requirements.
- Use professional products and equipment appropriately to maintain service quality and customer safety.
6. Appointment Coordination and Team Supervision
- Coordinate with reception staff to manage appointments and maintain efficient salon operations.
- Support effective scheduling to maximize appointment availability without compromising service quality.
- Guide and supervise hair assistants and salon support staff.
- Ensure team members follow established salon procedures, hygiene requirements, and customer service standards.
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative salon environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- High school qualification.
- Formal hairdressing qualification, preferably City & Guilds Level 2 or an equivalent certification.
Work Experience
- 3–4 years of professional hair-cutting experience in a reputable salon.
- Practical experience in hair styling, colouring, highlights, and hair treatments.
- Experience delivering customer consultations and recommending suitable haircare services.
