Senior Buyer – FMCG Imports

We are a fast-growing UAE-based e-commerce company focusing on serving the day-to-day grocery needs of our consumers and an unwavering commitment to build lasting relationships with our customers based on service excellence. We are looking for an ambitious and experienced director to lead our Operations Department, shepherding the growth of our company and our operations to new heights.

Job Responsibilities:
You will be a confident and robust negotiator, able to tackle price negotiations with your suppliers as well as assist other team members.
Once established in the role, you are expected to be comfortable guiding junior team members.
Reviewing ordering plans, assisting with inventory planning as well as financial performance, reviews of product ranges, and how items appear on our website. Attention to detail is important.
You will need to be confident in handling multiple suppliers of FMCG products and managing stock levels to guarantee the availability of products.
You must carry experience in import procedures including freights for both air and sea shipments/consolidations. You must be comfortable managing lead times associated with such supply chains. Being able to forecast and plan accordingly is a prerequisite in this role.
You will need to be comfortable utilizing Microsoft Excel to analyze data and also have experience using ERP systems.
Being confident in handling multiple sources of data to make decisions on ordering is vital – we need candidates who can maximize our sales and product availability whilst being in control of product wastage.

Job Role:
Strong buying background with at least 3-5 years of experience in a senior role.
Available to join immediately would be preferred
At least a Master’s degree in Business and/or certification in procurement
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
