At the forefront of this initiative is the Manager of Business Intelligence & Insights role within Holding/XSIGHT. This pivotal position delivers visionary leadership and strategic insights derived from analytics. The aim is to guide businesses in their purview towards maximizing their potential by leveraging data-driven direction.

In Dubai, the individual in this role will report directly to the central holding company’s Director of Business Intelligence and Innovation. The primary responsibilities include collaborating closely with various business units and verticals in MAF to (a) identify and create tailored insights using data tools and dashboards, aiming to suggest specific actions for addressing opportunity gaps, and (b) oversee the entire project adoption process, from the conceptualization/ideation phase to implementation. In addition to hands-on involvement in data, analysis, and insight generation, the Manager of Business Intelligence and Innovation will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders across MAF businesses, facilitating data-driven decision-making.

We seek a BI & Insight Analyst with robust technical and managerial expertise to contribute to developing and effectively expanding our analytics capabilities. As a valued team member, you will be crucial in supplying the company with data, frameworks, and insights. Collaborating with business leaders, analysts, data scientists, and data engineers, you’ll tackle complex business challenges to provide data-driven recommendations. Your focus will extend to partnering with stakeholders on operational KPIs, aiming to propel growth through the application of powerful analytics.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Business Insight and Leadership:

Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of MAF’s businesses, actively engaging with teams and key stakeholders to identify opportunities through innovative insight analytics.
Drive the analytics agenda by leading proactive engagements across the group.
Implement initiatives to deliver insights to various businesses and verticals regularly.
Ensure that insights provided are received and acted upon by stakeholders, taking ownership of the resulting incremental value.
Develop a deep understanding of the external business landscape, including market trends, competition, and global benchmarks relevant to MAF group.
Identify and define BI, reporting, and data analysis requirements through collaborative efforts with function leads across different business units. Interpret detailed user requirements for business cases and studies and propose optimal BI solutions to meet these needs.

Data Management & Operations:

Contribute to the Group/XSIGHT vision of maintaining high data accuracy, actively partnering with data engineering and business units to ensure effective and accurate data utilization across the organization.
Demonstrate leadership by prioritizing insight-led analytics over mere data reporting.
Gather and extract necessary data from various sources, including internal data warehouses and market data, ensuring adherence to defined data quality standards and validation rules to guarantee accuracy.
Develop automated routines for extracting requested information and utilize data from our data lake and warehouse to create quantitative models of business trends.
Data Analysis and Insights Generation:

Engage proactively with business unit/XSIGHT vertical stakeholders to translate insights into actionable initiatives and maintain consistent insights, providing strategic consultation to support business objectives.
Focus on incorporating external data to enrich insights, complementing internal data lake resources.
Spearheaded the delivery and ownership of 1-2 new data capabilities aligned with group strategic priorities.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Business Intelligence, Marketing, and other stakeholders to establish relevant metrics and KPIs for business monitoring.
Conduct quantitative analyses to transform data into actionable insights, offering analytical support for key projects.
Dive deep into consumer insights and competitive intelligence to drive product innovation and iteration.
Present insights effectively through compelling data storytelling techniques.


Operate autonomously by cultivating relationships across the group.
Demonstrate individual expertise and spearhead upskilling initiatives within the BI&I team.
Dashboards and Data Visualization:

Craft robust BI dashboards to tackle business challenges, employing effective visualizations, coherent narrative structure, and clear communication of insights and recommendations.
Definition of Success:

Attain expert knowledge of the entire MAF data landscape, adept at retrieving and manipulating data efficiently.
Forge strong alliances with our unit’s Data Engineering and Data Science teams and the broader BI community.
Deliver impactful analyses to stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
Earn recognition as our business unit leaders’ preferred business partner and thought leader regarding insights and analytical requirements.
Demonstrate agility and enthusiasm in providing internal and external thought leadership for the advancement of MAF Group.
Functional/Technical Competencies:

Possess a stellar track record of navigating complex challenges within diverse industries, with a focus on analytics and data proficiency.
Accumulate 5-7 years of experience in data analytics, stakeholder management, and problem-solving.
Exhibit a history of delivering data-rich analyses and groundbreaking insights to all levels of the business, developing intricate evaluation tools for monitoring business performance.
Proficient in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Python, with a preference for experience in Vertica.
Demonstrate deep market knowledge and adept research skills, capable of effectively gathering and analyzing market insights.
Utilize internal and external research, analytics, metrics, and benchmarking to inform decision-making.
Hands-on experience with A/B testing, statistical analysis, and insight visualization tools.
Highly analytical with a knack for problem-solving, capable of translating data into actionable insights and presenting them to stakeholders.
Proven track record in project management and organizational skills, with the ability to initiate, prioritize, and execute analysis/insights projects across various businesses and leadership levels.
Confident and engaging team player with experience in team management and training.

Minimum Experience:

5-7 years of experience in Business Analysis and Analytics, gained from FMCG, research/analytics agencies, or management consultancy roles. Must have a robust track record of deriving insights from data and driving organizational change across all management levels in large organizations.
Minimum Qualifications/Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as business, mathematics, economics, finance, statistics, science, or engineering.
