Application Engineer – Water & Wastewater Treatment

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support the development of technical and commercial solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, engineering teams, and project stakeholders to design practical treatment solutions, prepare technical proposals, and provide pre-sales engineering support.

This role is ideal for professionals with a strong engineering background and experience in water treatment technologies, process design, and customer-facing technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, operational challenges, regulatory standards, and business objectives.
• Develop technical proposals, including treatment process selection, system configurations, and scope of work documentation.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial quotations.
• Provide application engineering support during tender and bidding stages, including process calculations, equipment sizing, and technical evaluations.
• Review engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, and system specifications to ensure project feasibility.
• Coordinate with project delivery, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure proposed solutions can be successfully implemented.
• Conduct site visits, technical assessments, and feasibility studies, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
• Respond to client technical inquiries and support contract discussions with clear explanations of system performance and lifecycle benefits.
• Assist in developing cost-effective and sustainable treatment solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, process engineering, or water treatment projects.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and tender documents.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to explain technical solutions in terms of customer value and long-term operational benefits.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, engineering calculation tools, and ERP/CRM software systems.

• Experience working on municipal, industrial, or commercial water treatment projects.
