Job Overview
Al-Futtaim Retail is looking for an experienced Retail Operations Manager in the UAE to drive operational excellence, commercial performance, and customer experience across multiple retail stores. The role is responsible for leading store operations, improving sales and profitability, maintaining operational standards, and developing high-performing retail teams.
The Retail Operations Manager will work closely with Store Managers and cross-functional teams to achieve business targets covering sales, profitability, compliance, inventory management, customer satisfaction, and employee development.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Performance
- Drive sales, profitability, and productivity across retail stores in the UAE.
- Monitor important retail KPIs, including Sales, Conversion, ATV, IPC, UPT, Footfall, NPS, Shrinkage, and EBIT.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, revenue, margins, and overall store performance.
- Conduct regular business performance reviews and implement recovery plans for underperforming stores.
- Support retail growth strategies and commercial business initiatives.
Retail Store Operations
- Ensure all stores consistently follow company operational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor store compliance, internal audits, health and safety requirements, and governance standards.
- Oversee inventory management, stock accuracy, replenishment, and shrinkage control.
- Improve workforce planning, staff scheduling, rota management, and labor productivity.
- Ensure efficient and consistent execution of retail operations across multiple locations.
Customer Experience
- Drive a high standard of customer service and retail customer experience across all stores.
- Monitor customer feedback, NPS, and service performance.
- Identify customer experience gaps and implement improvement initiatives.
- Ensure stores consistently meet brand standards and customer service expectations.
People Management and Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and field leadership teams.
- Build a strong performance-driven culture focused on accountability, engagement, and customer service.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development programs.
- Develop succession plans and identify future retail leadership talent.
- Provide guidance and coaching to improve team and store performance.
Retail Projects and Change Management
- Support new store openings, store relocations, pop-up stores, and refurbishment projects.
- Lead operational readiness activities for new retail initiatives and business projects.
- Work collaboratively with Commercial, HR, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Property teams.
- Support the successful implementation of new retail processes, systems, and business initiatives.
Financial and Cost Management
- Manage retail operational budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Drive cost-control and profit-improvement initiatives.
- Monitor payroll, overtime, consumables, and other operating expenses.
- Ensure retail operations achieve financial and profitability objectives.

- Strong financial and commercial knowledge, including P&L management.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and deliver sales and profitability targets.
- Experience in retail operations, store performance management, inventory, customer experience, and people development.
