alfanar Electric is offering an opportunity for an experienced Production Section Manager in the UAE to oversee manufacturing operations, manage production teams, and ensure production targets are achieved according to approved schedules, quality standards, and cost requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating manpower, materials, equipment, and production priorities while improving operational efficiency and minimizing waste, downtime, and production delays. This role requires strong leadership, production planning, problem-solving, and performance management skills to support manufacturing objectives and business growth.
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 10–15 years of relevant experience are encouraged to review the vacancy requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning and Operations
- Manage daily manufacturing activities in accordance with approved production plans, schedules, and operational procedures.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, materials, and workloads to achieve production targets.
- Monitor production output, productivity, resource utilization, and delivery performance.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, workflow interruptions, and operational challenges.
- Ensure manufacturing activities are completed within established timelines, cost targets, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate production priorities according to business needs and delivery commitments.
2. Process Improvement and Operational Efficiency
- Review existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Implement corrective actions to address production delays, equipment downtime, rework, and material waste.
- Monitor production performance indicators and recommend improvements based on operational data.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives across production activities.
- Encourage the adoption of improved technologies, automated systems, and efficient manufacturing practices.
- Support cost optimization while maintaining product quality and production standards.
3. Production Team Leadership and Management
- Supervise daily activities of production employees and ensure assigned tasks are completed effectively.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
- Identify employee training needs and support professional development.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, discipline, and a performance-oriented work culture.
- Evaluate employee performance against established operational targets.
- Develop team capabilities and identify potential employees for future leadership responsibilities.
- Ensure fair treatment of employees and effective delegation of responsibilities in accordance with company policies.
4. Production Readiness and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Quality departments to support production requirements.
- Follow up on the availability of raw materials, equipment, technical drawings, and other production dependencies.
- Ensure manufacturing activities remain aligned with project requirements and delivery schedules.
- Participate in production review meetings and coordinate solutions to operational challenges.
- Escalate significant resource shortages, equipment problems, material delays, and production risks to management.
- Maintain effective communication between production teams and supporting departments.
5. Production Monitoring and Reporting
- Maintain accurate production records, operational reports, and manufacturing status updates.
- Monitor production output, productivity, delivery performance, and resource utilization.
- Report production delays, operational constraints, cost variations, and corrective actions to management.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend actions to improve results.
- Prepare periodic progress reports to support operational planning and management decisions.
6. Business Planning and Cost Control
- Translate company objectives into practical production plans and operational targets.
- Monitor production plans and take corrective action when actual performance deviates from planned results.
- Manage production budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to achieve cost efficiency.
- Anticipate operational risks and implement preventive measures where possible.
- Make timely decisions to maintain production continuity and achieve business objectives.
- Support organizational development by ensuring appropriate team structures, responsibilities, and job descriptions are in place.
7. Quality, Safety, and Compliance
- Maintain high manufacturing quality standards in accordance with alfanar Electric policies and procedures.
- Ensure production activities comply with applicable operational, quality, and safety requirements.
- Promote a safe, secure, and legally compliant working environment.
- Encourage adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and help prevent recurring production issues.
- Ensure employees follow relevant health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures.
8. Business Process Improvement and Technology
- Review and improve production procedures, workflows, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational controls.
- Promote the effective use of relevant IT systems and production management tools.
- Adapt to new manufacturing technologies, management practices, and operational requirements.
- Encourage a culture of innovation, efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
Work Experience
- 10–15 years of relevant professional experience in production management, manufacturing operations, or industrial production.
- Experience in production scheduling, equipment utilization, team supervision, and operational performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage production resources, monitor manufacturing targets, and improve operational efficiency.
