alfanar Electric is seeking an experienced Pre-Qualification & Prescription Manager – Utilities to oversee pre-qualification activities and prescription processes for power and water products and solutions in Saudi Arabia.
The role is responsible for developing and implementing pre-qualification strategies, managing customer and consultant relationships, monitoring market requirements, and ensuring that submitted technical documentation meets applicable client, consultant, regulatory, and industry requirements.
The successful candidate will lead a team, coordinate with internal business units, support sales and project pursuits, and contribute to the growth of alfanar’s Power & Water business across Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development
- Support the development and implementation of Power & Water sales strategies for products and solutions related to power generation, transmission, distribution, and water systems.
- Ensure sales and pre-qualification strategies are aligned with alfanar’s business objectives and market requirements.
- Monitor changes to submitted documents, approvals, technical specifications, and pre-qualification requirements from end users and consultants.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with local and international end users, consultants, utilities, and key stakeholders in the Saudi power and water sectors.
- Monitor sales and marketing plan performance and identify deviations requiring corrective or preventive action.
- Prepare regular progress reports and recommendations for senior management.
Pre-Qualification Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and implement pre-qualification strategies to support successful participation in power and water sector opportunities.
- Establish objectives, monitor performance, and lead the team toward achieving pre-qualification and prescription targets.
- Coordinate power and water products and solutions across alfanar business units to maintain a consistent market approach.
- Develop and implement tools, processes, and technical documentation required to meet customer and market requirements.
- Support technical specification and compliance strategies for power and water sector clients.
- Ensure submitted documents and technical information are accurate, complete, and aligned with applicable requirements.
Market Research & Customer Needs Analysis
- Monitor Saudi Arabia power and water market trends, customer requirements, technical specifications, and industry developments.
- Conduct market research and customer visits to identify current and future requirements for power and water products and solutions.
- Maintain awareness of changes in end-user and consultant requirements that may affect product approvals and pre-qualification.
- Analyze market opportunities and contribute to short-term and long-term market potential forecasts.
- Use customer and market insights to support business planning and sales strategy.
Customer & Technical Support
- Provide technical and pre-qualification support to end users, consultants, and customers adopting alfanar power and water solutions.
- Support customers with relevant technical documentation, approvals, specifications, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with internal technical, engineering, sales, and product teams to address customer requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders throughout the pre-qualification and prescription process.
- Help ensure a positive customer experience through timely and accurate technical support.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, manage, and develop the Pre-Qualification and Prescription team.
- Set clear objectives and monitor individual and team performance against agreed targets.
- Identify high-performing employees and support their professional development and progression.
- Address performance gaps through coaching, development plans, and appropriate management actions.
- Promote a fair, professional, and performance-driven working environment.
- Ensure appropriate delegation of responsibilities in line with company policies and authority levels.
Business Planning & Performance
- Translate corporate objectives into practical business and development plans.
- Plan, execute, and monitor annual and development initiatives.

- Prepare periodic work progress and performance reports for management.
- Monitor budgets and expenses to achieve effective cost management and operational efficiency.
- Ensure activities deliver the required results within agreed timelines, quality standards, and costs.
Process Improvement & Digital Transformation
- Develop and maintain clear systems, policies, procedures, and processes for pre-qualification and prescription activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Promote the effective use of relevant IT systems and digital solutions.
- Support automation initiatives that improve data management, documentation, reporting, and business processes.
- Adapt to new technologies, management approaches, and evolving business models.
Quality, Compliance & HSE
- Ensure all pre-qualification and prescription activities comply with company policies, procedures, technical requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality and technical compliance throughout customer and pre-qualification activities.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and legally compliant working environment in accordance with applicable HSE requirements.
- Promote quality as an important part of alfanar’s products, services, and customer experience.
