Job Details:
Assures the appropriate control, security, prescribing, preparation, dispensing and utilization of pharmaceuticals in hospital.

Roles AND Responsibility:
Advises prescribers of medication-related issues and recommends alternate medications.
Interacts routinely with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care to patients.
Provides general and patient specific drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other Health care professionals.
Helps monitor pharmaceutical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
Strictly observes organization’s medical regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, patient assessment and patient care.
Supervises the activities of Pharmacy support personnel related to the timely and accurate Preparation, processing, and delivery of medication orders.
Checks final processed orders and approves for delivery or release.
Verifies all products prepared and source containers and amounts used for accuracy Maintains control and security of all drugs.
Reviews, interprets, clarifies, enters, and verifies patients’ information and medication orders for processing within all hospital and pharmacy computer systems.
Ensure compliance to all laws, circulars and regulations related to the pharmacy profession.
Carries out any other assignment by Head Pharmacist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Patient focused; service oriented; patient & understanding.
Efficient organizational skills; ability to handle multiple responsibilities under pressure while maintaining composure
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable, punctual, dependable, and responsive.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language antageous/desirable but not essential.
Successfully completed and holds an accredited recognized BSc. in Pharmacy.
2 years Experience in acute care facility
Proficient technology application skills; Basic MS Office (Word, Excel, & Power point) MS Outlook & Internet explorer skills.
Must have an exceptional interpersonal skills, maturity, good judgment and be capable of communicating in a professional manner with diverse range of individuals; superior phone etiquette skills
