Al-Futtaim Automotive is seeking an experienced Personal Service Technician (PST) to join its Polestar Aftersales team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while ensuring work is completed according to manufacturer and company standards.
The role also involves managing key parts of the customer service journey, maintaining accurate technical records, supporting workshop productivity, and ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service and Vehicle Handover
- Manage customer service activities from appointment booking through vehicle handover.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding vehicle concerns, required repairs, and service work.
- Explain technical findings and repair recommendations in a professional and easy-to-understand manner.
- Ensure vehicles are completed and handed over within agreed timelines.
- Support accurate invoicing and work order completion.
Vehicle Diagnostics and Repairs
- Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.
- Perform repairs, periodic maintenance, inspections, and approved accessory installations.
- Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic systems, tools, and technical information.
- Identify electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Follow approved repair procedures and manufacturer technical guidelines.
Quality and First-Time Repair
- Follow the Fix It Right process and support first-time repair objectives.
- Ensure completed work meets required quality and technical standards.
- Conduct appropriate checks before vehicles are returned to customers.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Vehicle Checks and technical reports.
Work Orders and Documentation
- Maintain accurate work orders and service documentation.
- Support warranty, goodwill, leasing, and insurance-related administrative requirements.
- Record diagnostic findings, repairs, and technical recommendations accurately.
- Use dealership management systems and other relevant digital tools for documentation.
Workshop Operations
- Support workshop productivity and help achieve agreed operational targets.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Ensure diagnostic equipment and workshop tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Keep equipment and technical resources updated and ready for use.
Safety and Compliance
- Follow health, safety, security, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain workplace organization in line with 5S principles.
- Follow company, manufacturer, and workshop quality procedures.
- Promote safe working practices throughout workshop activities.
Team Support and Development
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians.
- Share diagnostic knowledge and repair best practices with colleagues.
- Contribute to the development of technical capabilities within the workshop team.
- Work collaboratively with service advisors, workshop personnel, managers, and other departments.
Required Skills
Candidates should have strong knowledge and practical experience in:
- Advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
- Automotive electrical and electronic systems
- Mechanical vehicle systems and repairs
- OEM diagnostic equipment and special service tools
- Wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
- Warranty and workshop processes
- Customer service and relationship management
- Technical reporting and documentation
- Dealership management systems
- Workshop safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
- IMI Light Vehicle Master Technician Level 3–4 or an equivalent qualification.
- Advanced OEM certification such as Diagnostic Master, Gold Technician, Level 3, or an equivalent credential.
- Valid driving license.
Experience Required
- Minimum 6–7 years of experience as a Light Vehicle Technician.
- At least 2 years of experience in vehicle diagnostics.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing automotive service environment is preferred.
- Service Advisor experience will be an advantage.
- Experience working within an automotive dealership is desirable.
