Specialist Pediatrician Role Overview
The Specialist Pediatrician is dedicated to diagnosing medical conditions and providing comprehensive treatment, emphasizing the patient’s overall health, including physical, psychological, and social well-being.

  • Key Responsibilities
    Clinical Care:
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based pediatric care aligned with Al-Futtaim Health’s bylaws and regulations.
  • Evaluate patient conditions through detailed medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests, reaching informed diagnoses.
  • Prescribe and interpret laboratory tests, medications, and treatment plans with clear guidance for administration.
  • Offer expert clinical opinions and make autonomous decisions for patient care, including self-referred or referred cases.
  • Provide holistic care, including health education, ensuring treatment plans meet current clinical guidelines.
  • Admit and discharge patients, coordinating referrals to other healthcare professionals as necessary.
    On-Call and Team Collaboration:
  • Participate in equitable on-call rosters to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring doctors to ensure a cohesive care experience.
  • Professional Development and Education:

    Qualifications and Experience
    Minimum Requirements:
    Educational Background:
  • MBBS, MBChB, or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a recognized specialty qualification as per the Dubai Health Authority, Health
  • Authority of Abu Dhabi, or Ministry of Health UAE standards.
    Professional Experience:
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience at a specialist level post-specialty qualification.
