We are looking to hire an Operations Accountant who will provide support to the Finance Department by managing daily tasks related to our Dubizzle Cars service line. You will be part of a team of professionals working in a high paced, client facing environment. Your role will be to maintain the Dubizzle Cars brand, as well as delivering order and transparency to the company’s finances.

Job Details:

Accept, record, and deposit cash transactions. Absolute adherence to all cash policies.

Upload payments onto the online portal ahead of their release.

Review all expense invoices, and recording them within the Finance ERP

Ensure all allocations are applied accurately into the correct legal entity.

Support process improvements and identifying opportunities for efficiencies across the department.

Coordinate with the finance team, management and non-financial business leads to ensure smooth operations business wide.

Be an active member of the operational payment’s function and continue to strive for process improvements to streamline the process. To constantly work towards reducing the timeline required for payment completion, with the client’s satisfaction as the priority.

Ensure all customer records are kept up-to-date and are recorded in real time on the Finance ERP.

Perform Compliance checks: Document gathering and performing of compliance checks on all customer transactions ahead of the payment release.

Ensure all banking activity is posted timely and accurately in Sage and CRM.

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Challenge current processes and identify opportunities for efficiencies within the department.

Drive any identified business improvements.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting

ACA, ACCA, CPA qualification (or equivalent) is a bonus

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role

Experience working in a high paced environment

Experience working with high volumes of transactions

Proficiency in excel is advantageous

Experience using financial ERP systems such as Sage or Xero

A thorough understanding of a Finance team’s process flows

Fluent English

Strong organizational skills

Excellent communication, personable, and collaborative skills

Ability to adapt to a changing environment

Identify possible improvements and suggest steps to implement them

A keen eye for detail

A fast learner

Ability to work accurately, in a fast-paced environment

A can-do and flexible approach and an inquisitive mindset
