Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Technician in Dubai, UAE, to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in building facilities. The successful candidate will help ensure that all facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while minimizing equipment downtime and maintaining a comfortable environment for building occupants.
This opportunity is suitable for technicians with facilities management (FM) or maintenance experience, particularly those with knowledge of HVAC equipment, electrical distribution systems, and general building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC Maintenance and Repair
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including split AC units, packaged units, cassette units, fan coil units (FCUs), fresh air handling units (FAHUs), and air handling units (AHUs).
- Inspect and maintain compressors, pumps, motors, and other HVAC components.
- Diagnose HVAC faults and replace defective parts to restore system performance.
- Perform HVAC system cleaning, adjustments, and emergency repairs.
- Carry out preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
Electrical Maintenance
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems, including Main Distribution Boards (MDBs), Sub-Main Distribution Boards (SMDBs), and Distribution Boards (DBs).
- Identify electrical faults and replace faulty components when required.
- Inspect and maintain capacitor banks and related electrical equipment.
- Ensure electrical maintenance activities follow applicable safety procedures and standards.
Mechanical and Plumbing Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in building equipment and facility systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of pumps, motors, and associated mechanical components.
- Carry out basic plumbing maintenance and repairs as required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report recurring technical issues.
Preventive and Reactive Maintenance
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential equipment failures.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational downtime.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures when handling tools, equipment, and electrical systems.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 years of GCC experience or 5 years of experience in facilities management or general maintenance.
- ITI certification is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of HVAC equipment, electrical distribution boards, pumps, motors, and building maintenance systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.
