Job Details:
Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain pricing information and ensure timely availability of materials.
Prepare detailed tender submissions, including cost breakdowns, technical clarifications, and any required supporting documentation.
Collaborate with the Tendering and Estimation team to review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements.
Conduct thorough quantity take-offs for MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
Analyze project scope and identify any potential risks or issues that may impact the estimate or tender submission.
Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors in line with project specifications.
Research and analyze costs of materials, equipment, and labor to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Participate in pre-tender meetings, site visits, and discussions with clients to gather project-specific information and clarify requirements.
Liaise with the procurement team to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials and services based on the approved estimates.
Collaborate with the team to prepare post-tender analysis reports and participate in lessons learned sessions to improve future estimations.
Review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure compliance with project requirements and evaluate their competitiveness.
Assist in the negotiation process with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
Collaborate with the project management team to support the successful handover of projects, including any required cost adjustments or variations.
Stay updated with industry trends, market rates, and emerging technologies in the MEP field to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of estimates.
Continuously improve estimation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Candidate Profile:
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
Experience in using estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to meet tender deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
Proven 3 to 5 years of experience as an MEP Estimator in the UAE, preferably in the tendering and estimation field.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tenders and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a focus on producing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
Familiarity with local regulations, codes, and standards related to MEP systems in the UAE.
