AST Plus Technical Services LLC is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP Estimation Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the estimation and cost planning of all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects to ensure the most cost-effective execution.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update a cost database to aid in future project estimates and cost evaluations.
Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and procurement teams to optimize the cost-effectiveness of projects.
Prepare detailed cost estimates of MEP systems for construction projects at various design stages (concept, schematic, design development, and construction).
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Gather quotes from suppliers and subcontractors and negotiate prices when necessary.
Provide regular reporting to management, highlighting areas of concern in ongoing projects.
Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to aid in estimation and bidding.
Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial bid submissions.
Participate in client and internal meetings about cost-related aspects.
Requirements:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in MEP estimation, preferably within an electromechanical company.
Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) cost strategies.
Proficient in estimation software and tools, and MS Office Suite.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work output.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: AED3,000.00 – AED4,000.00 per month
