You will work with engineering teams to ensure all mechanical systems are installed according to technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and assembly instructions.
- Assemble and install mechanical components for heavy trucks and commercial vehicles.
- Perform fitting, alignment, and installation of engines, transmissions, axles, chassis components, and related mechanical systems.
- Use torque wrenches, measuring tools, and precision instruments to ensure accurate assembly.
- Support vehicle production and mechanical assembly operations while meeting manufacturing schedules.
- Inspect completed assemblies to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize production delays.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
- Follow company health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures during all assembly activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly and heavy vehicle systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
- Understanding of mechanical fitting, alignment, and installation techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma, ITI, or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or Assembly Technician.
- Experience in heavy vehicle manufacturing, truck assembly, commercial vehicles, or industrial equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and quality management practices.
