A leading company in Dubai is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical installation, preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and troubleshooting. The role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing production downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Equipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to reduce equipment downtime.
- Inspect machinery regularly and identify potential maintenance requirements.
- Carry out equipment installation, repair, and replacement activities.
- Ensure machinery operates efficiently and meets operational standards.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Analyze equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions.
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical components.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly work when required.
- Read engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documentation to complete maintenance tasks accurately.
- Support emergency breakdown maintenance when necessary.
Maintenance Planning & Documentation
- Record maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS/SAP).
- Request and manage spare parts required for maintenance work.
- Maintain accurate service records and maintenance reports.
- Assist in planning routine maintenance schedules.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental (EHS) policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area after completing maintenance tasks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency.
- Support colleagues and other departments with technical maintenance requirements.
- Assist in training new maintenance team members when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Technical or vocational certification in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Fresh candidates with recognized technical craft training may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and time management abilities.
