Main Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will support day-to-day maintenance operations while developing practical knowledge of industrial machinery and mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist senior engineers and technicians with preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Support maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, power transmission systems and heavy-duty mechanical structures.
  • Inspect machinery and help identify mechanical problems before they lead to major equipment failures.
  • Assist in diagnosing issues such as bearing failures, hydraulic leaks, gearbox problems and other mechanical faults.
  • Support troubleshooting activities for fixed industrial equipment as well as mobile heavy machinery.
  • Participate in maintenance and reliability improvement projects.
  • Assist with mechanical component upgrades and equipment modifications where required.
  • Support lubrication and equipment care programs designed to improve machinery life and performance.
  • Contribute to fabrication and mechanical modification activities.
  • Follow approved maintenance procedures and engineering standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance work and equipment history.
  • Update relevant information in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Help monitor spare-parts requirements and maintenance-related documentation.
  • Participate in technical and safety training programs.
  • Work closely with engineers, technicians and other maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues.

Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
