Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs on material handling equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using industry-standard diagnostic techniques.
• Repair forklifts and warehouse equipment while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Complete repairs correctly the first time to minimize repeat service visits.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before they become major failures.
• Follow manufacturer service manuals, technical procedures, and workshop standards.
• Prepare accurate service reports and communicate repair progress to the Service Supervisor.
• Provide both workshop-based and on-site field service support across customer locations.
• Maintain workplace safety by following company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Ensure customer equipment is returned in reliable operating condition with minimal downtime.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in servicing and repairing material handling equipment.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and first-time fix performance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage field service assignments efficiently.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Trade Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience servicing and repairing material handling equipment.
• Experience working on Hangcha forklifts or similar warehouse equipment is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to independently perform servicing, repairs, component overhauls, and diagnostics.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Valid UAE Manual Driving Licence (mandatory).
• Good English communication skills; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
