Job Details:
Assist in developing the zoning in the store as per the categories of products to be displayed by bearing in mind the principles of space management and profiles of the target consumers
Conduct existing conditions surveys and prepare architectural base plans, sections, elevations and details as appropriate to document relevant conditions
Assist in detail development and assisting in researching products and systems that accomplish the design intent
Retail Format Design / Re-design
Conceptualize / Redesign retail formats for the Concept in line with the customer, mall requirements and latest market trends
Develop complete design for the showroom that will include a comprehensive floor plan, exterior elevations, interior elevations, A/c diffuse allocation, lightning, graphic imaging (3D Presentation) and all material selections and finishes
Deliver detailed specifications and clear, concise, comprehensive, and complete engineering / interior drawings as required
Develop designs for all other features / utilities of the Mall or store such as building placement / orientation, parking lot layout / flow, service vehicle access

Site Project Management:
Assist in preparing detailed project plans for site development including project costing, timelines and development schedules and coordinate for approvals
Assist in nomination, evaluation and appointment of consultants and contractors / suppliers / vendors including negotiation of rates and contractual terms and obligations
Manage vendor relationships including conducting planning session with vendors and service providers and define project and performance expectations
Assist in site selection and prepare the detailed survey report by performing on-site design services, interpreting drawings, specs, codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and carrying out field engineering work
period in a efficient and effective way
Supervise all the activities on-site and coordinate with Concept to regularly provide feedback on the progress of work/project
Assist in guiding and managing the manpower deployed onsite including Supervisors and contractor labor
Assist in identifying and evaluating new products / solutions including material to be used bearing in mind quality and cost effectiveness
Provide material specifications and oversee procurement of the material from suppliers
Coordinate with external agencies like Architectural Consultants, Material suppliers, Construction agencies etc. so as to ensure that the project is completed with in the scheduled time

Technical Assistance:

Any construction and interior design related work in the existing stores and new stores
Any electricity, carpentry and plumbing related work in the existing stores and new stores
Assist in reviewing Civil / MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) drawings till completion

People Management
Develop and mentor subordinates to move to the next higher level of job through career planning
Ensure compliance to Company policies and values

Miscellaneous
Keep oneself abreast about new shop fittings / elements and suggest material to be used
Build and share knowledge of the latest retail design trends and computer aided technologies available

Adherence to Timelines as per Schedule Timely renovation / development of Retail Project Sites (as per timelines)
Process Improvement Number of planned initiatives implemented for improving project management processes and level of service delivered to customers
People Capability Building Achievement against targeted hours of training
Retention of key talent (high potentials, high performers, key position holders)
% decrease in attrition in the department
Budget Utilization % variance from the allocated project budgetary allocations
Project Cost Management % reduction in cost per sq foot of site development (in comparison to previous projects)
Quality of Technical Work Adherence to design standards / principles for all construction carpentry, electrical and plumbing work
Visual Enhancement Feedback on the visibility/ appearance of the stores/ malls by the Concept(s)

Qualification:
Knowledge of Architectural detailing, Construction Methodology and Civil work estimation
Graduate Degree in Applied Science / Civil / Construction Engineering
Knowledge of spaces, spatial layouts, relations, conceptual sketching, 3D modelling

Experience:
3 years in a managerial capacity of leading independent retail project / site development projects
8 – 10 years of Interior / Retail Store / Building designing and Project Management experience
