IKEA Dubai Festival City is hiring a skilled Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational retail environment. This position is responsible for supporting the upkeep of building facilities, mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring all maintenance activities meet company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Assist with renovation, repair, and improvement projects across the facility.
- Monitor electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
- Coordinate maintenance work with contractors and service providers.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance materials and spare parts.
- Support emergency procedures, safety inspections, and evacuation drills.
- Promote excellent teamwork while maintaining IKEA’s operational standards.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of building maintenance and facility management.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and sustainability principles.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
- Practical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting systems, electrical maintenance, ventilation, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Experience working with chilled water systems and energy transfer stations is an advantage.
