Key Responsibilities of a Light Vehicle Driver

1. Driving and Transportation

Operate company-assigned light vehicles to transport goods, materials, documents, or staff as required.
Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
Use navigation applications and local road knowledge to plan suitable routes and minimize delays.
Comply with UAE traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company transportation policies.
Coordinate with the Transport Supervisor regarding route changes, schedule updates, and transportation requirements.

2. Delivery and Logistics Support

Collect and deliver goods, materials, and documents to designated locations.
Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure the correct handling, loading, and unloading of deliveries.
Verify delivery details and maintain appropriate records for completed assignments.
Support urgent pickups, inter-office document transfers, and other transportation requests.
Ensure goods are handled carefully and delivered in good condition.
Communicate delivery delays or unexpected issues to the relevant supervisor promptly.

3. Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance

Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after assigned trips.
Check tyres, lights, fuel levels, and other essential vehicle components.
Report vehicle defects, mechanical problems, or maintenance requirements to the Transport Supervisor.
Keep the assigned vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Ensure scheduled servicing and routine maintenance requirements are communicated and followed.

4. Documentation and Record-Keeping

Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, fuel consumption details, and delivery reports.
Complete required transportation and delivery documentation.
Record relevant trip information and report discrepancies when necessary.
Follow company procedures for vehicle usage, fuel management, and expense documentation.
Ensure all assigned paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.

5. Safety and Professional Conduct

Drive responsibly and follow all applicable UAE road traffic regulations.
Prioritize passenger safety, cargo security, and the safe operation of the assigned vehicle.
Maintain professional communication with supervisors, colleagues, customers, and delivery recipients.
Report accidents, traffic incidents, vehicle breakdowns, and other unexpected situations immediately.
Follow company policies regarding vehicle security, parking, and authorized vehicle use.

Qualifications and Experience
