Position Summary:
We’re seeking a dynamic individual to captivate and delight our visitors through innovative presentations of IKEA’s home furnishing offerings, leaving them stunned and eager to explore further. Your role will enhance the IKEA brand image and increase customer conversions.

Craft compelling and visually striking displays that surpass visitor expectations, elevating the IKEA experience.
Develop home furnishing solutions that are practical and aesthetically pleasing and strategically align with the local market, reinforcing IKEA’s position as the premier choice for life at home.
Design functional and inspirational living and working environments tailored to the diverse needs of our clients.

My responsibilities include:

Conceptualizing home furnishing ideas tailored to reflect the distinctive IKEA identity for various settings such as homes, offices, and other spaces.

Enhancing expertise in home furnishing to create solutions aligning with IKEA’s ethos across residential, hospitality, and office environments.

Actively engaging in gathering insights through home visit interviews and translating them into locally relevant, functional, and visually appealing home furnishing solutions that surpass customer expectations, adhering to the IKEA approach.

Ensuring top-notch quality, simplicity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in planning and executing home furnishing projects, leveraging global tools and best practices.

Staying abreast of home furnishing trends, retailing dynamics, and industry developments to contribute innovative ideas to various projects.

Contributing to developing departmental action plans with initiatives aimed at business growth and long-term profitability, collaborating with the Home & Business Planning team and other relevant departments.

Adhering to established routines and responsibilities, fostering collaboration across departments, and understanding the impact of actions on outcomes.

Conducting on-site observations, gathering client briefs, and assessing their needs accurately.

Preparing and participating in client presentations, ensuring clear communication and understanding of proposed solutions.

Delivering results that fulfil client briefs within specified timelines, enhancing spaces to be functional, safe, and inspirational.

Demonstrating expertise in colours, lighting, and materials selection, focusing on smart living solutions.

Offering relevant, practical, and aesthetically pleasing home furnishing solutions that resonate with clients’ needs and preferences.

You’re well-prepared for this role with:

Extensive 3-5 years experience as an Interior Designer, coupled with higher education qualifications in Interior Design, providing a solid foundation in the field.

Comprehensive understanding of the functions and obligations within the Communication & Interior Design department, facilitating seamless integration into the role.

Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking proficiency, essential for potential succession planning and long-term organizational growth.

Strong multitasking abilities and collaborative team spirit ensure efficient project management and cohesive teamwork.

Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Autodesk software, enabling seamless utilization of digital tools and platforms for design projects.
