Job Details:
This role involves managing hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and improving asset utilization efficiency.
The IT Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization’s IT asset management processes, with a primary focus on utilizing BMC Remedy as the tool of choice.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage software licenses using BMC Remedy to ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
Track software usage and reconcile licenses to minimize risks and costs.
Asset Tracking and Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of asset information, including ownership, configurations, and maintenance history.
Implement asset tagging and tracking mechanisms for physical assets.
Reporting and Analytics:

Asset Discovery and Inventory:

Utilize BMC Remedy to automate asset discovery and maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets.
Categorize and document hardware and software assets accurately.

Asset Lifecycle Management:

Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.

Develop and implement asset disposal procedures in compliance with environmental regulations.
Software License Management:

Generate reports and provide insights into asset utilization, compliance, and cost management.
Use BMC Remedy’s reporting capabilities to monitor and analyze asset-related data.
Automation and Process Improvement:

Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows within BMC Remedy to streamline asset management processes.
Continuously identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
Integration and Collaboration:

Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate BMC Remedy’s asset management with incident management, change management, and other ITSM processes.
Ensure that asset management aligns with broader IT service delivery goals.

Qualifications:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications in IT asset management (e.g., ITIL, SAM, or BMC Remedy) is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in IT asset management with a focus on BMC Remedy.
Knowledge of IT asset management best practices and industry standards.
Familiarity with software licensing agreements and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
