Job Overview
The HSE Engineer will support health, safety, and environmental activities across projects and workplaces to help maintain safe working conditions and compliance with applicable safety requirements. The role includes preparing HSE documentation, conducting risk assessments, supporting tender activities, coordinating with clients, and assisting project teams with safety reporting and compliance.
This position is suitable for Safety Engineering graduates and freshers with 0–2 years of experience who are looking to build a career in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
HSE Pre-Qualification & Tender Support
- Prepare HSE questionnaires, documentation, and supporting information for client pre-qualification processes.
- Review client HSE requirements and ensure the required documentation is prepared accordingly.
- Develop HSE documentation for tender submissions related to MEP, power and water, and other project activities.
- Provide HSE-related inputs and guidance to the tendering team.
- Ensure safety requirements are properly addressed in bid and proposal documents.
Client Coordination & Presentations
- Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations for client meetings and HSE discussions.
- Participate in client meetings and provide HSE information during post-bid clarification activities.
- Coordinate with client representatives regarding HSE requirements, documentation, and comments.
- Support the project and tender teams in responding to client HSE requirements.
Project HSE Planning & Compliance
- Develop Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Plans and environmental plans based on project and client requirements.
- Prepare risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for project activities.
- Coordinate the submission and approval of HSE documents with clients.
- Review client comments on submitted HSE documents and ensure appropriate revisions are completed.
- Distribute approved HSE documents to relevant project personnel.
- Help project teams implement applicable safety, health, and environmental requirements.
HSE Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and organized HSE records and documentation.
- Assist project teams in preparing periodic HSE reports.
- Support the preparation of project close-out reports and related HSE documentation.
- Monitor document status and ensure required HSE records are available when needed.
- Assist in communicating approved safety procedures and documents to project teams.
Safety & Operational Support
- Monitor workplaces, facilities, equipment, and work activities to identify potential hazards and safety violations.
- Promote awareness of safe working practices among employees and project personnel.
- Support the implementation of safety procedures and controls.
- Identify safety-related issues and escalate complex concerns to the appropriate management.
- Assist in developing corrective and preventive actions for identified HSE issues.
- Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
Team & Management Responsibilities
- Assist in training and guiding junior safety personnel and team members.
- Provide support and direction to assigned subordinates when required.
- Help allocate tasks effectively within the HSE team.
- Encourage teamwork and maintain effective communication among project personnel.
- Support the achievement of operational and HSE targets within established schedules.
- Prepare periodic reports highlighting planned activities, progress, and deviations.
Quality & Process Improvement
- Support the implementation of effective HSE and quality control processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety procedures, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives where practical.
- Maintain records of corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow established company procedures, policies, and work instructions.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Follow company HSE policies, procedures, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Promote safe working practices throughout assigned areas of responsibility.
- Support environmental management requirements and project controls.
- Help maintain a workplace where hazards are identified, assessed, and appropriately controlled.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering
Experience Required
- Fresher to 2 years of experience (0–2 years).
- Fresh graduates with relevant academic knowledge of occupational health, safety, risk assessment, and environmental management are encouraged to explore this opportunity.
