Bloomingdale’s is offering an opportunity for a Helper in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will support the Stock, Visual Merchandising, and Commercial teams with the safe handling, packaging, movement, and placement of store merchandise, furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
This role is suitable for candidates who are physically capable, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling and packaging large or heavy items while maintaining product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Wrap and package sold merchandise, particularly furniture, to prevent damage before handing it over to the delivery team.
- Assist with unpacking furniture and other products and arranging them on the shop floor.
- Support the Visual Merchandising team with the physical movement and positioning of products.
- Perform Stock Assistant duties when the assigned team member is absent.
- Help move store stock, equipment, and fixtures safely and efficiently.
- Carry out additional store-related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Store Manager.
- Follow proper handling procedures and maintain quality standards while moving and packaging merchandise.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Previous experience in packaging large items safely to prevent damage.
- Experience lifting, carrying, and manoeuvring large or heavy items.
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on product quality.
- Ability to support different store departments and complete assigned tasks responsibly.
- Physical ability to handle stock, furniture, and store equipment.
