Job Details:

The Job holder is primarily responsible for preparing monthly, half yearly and annual accounts of DP World (DPW) Group’s accounts. He is also responsible for the preparation of Ports and Free Zone World (PFZW) Group’s Monthly, Half Yearly and Annual Financial statements and to support the external audit process. The job holder will also carry out IFRS research as required to support the needs of the organization. This includes working with Corporate Finance, Business Development and Treasury on acquisitions, restructuring and refinancing accounting matters at Corporate Office as well as with the Regions.

Responsibility:

Capable of analyzing and identifying the figures reported by the various entities and capable of efficiently rectifying any issues.
Support the implementation of Oracle Fusion and FCCS for assigned entities and the seamless integration of DPW Group entities in Fusion to FCCS.
Review Balance Sheet of reporting entities on a quarterly basis.
Deal with component auditors in resolving queries and assisting them in timely completion of audits.
Responsible for DP World Group consolidation and Port and Free Zone World Group consolidation.
Preparation of monthly IFRS reporting pack for DPW
Preparation of the half-year and annual consolidated financial statements for DPW and PFZW.
Provide financial information on a need-basis to the Boards of DPW and PFZW.
Ensure adequate process controls are in place to ensure the smooth consolidation of the Group accounts.
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.

Ensuring all requirements of Government auditors are met accurately and in a timely manner.
Coordinate with all regional offices and holding companies in respect of all accounting matters.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Prior experience in Big 4 auditing firm is a must.
Up-to-date knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Ability to work within strict timelines and under pressure.
A self-starter with a professional attitude and a desire to take responsibility to see all tasks through to a satisfactory conclusion.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting /Finance/Commerce.
Chartered Accountant / Certified Public Accountant is a must.
At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in global/multinational organisation involving global consolidation of accounting function.
Good working knowledge of ERP Systems such as Oracle Fusion and FCCS is a must.
Excellent communication skills in English.
