As a Graphic Communication Co-worker at IKEA, you will ensure that all in-store communication and visual standards are implemented in line with IKEA’s global brand guidelines. Your role will contribute directly to enhancing the customer experience by maintaining consistent, high-quality graphic communication throughout the store.
This position plays a key part in supporting IKEA’s brand identity, sales goals, and commercial activities by delivering impactful and clear visual messaging.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and consistent use of the IKEA Trade Name and Wordmark as per the IKEA Trademark Manual and Company Policy.
- Plan, produce, and install graphic solutions throughout the store to communicate product features and brand messaging effectively.
- Conduct regular (daily/weekly) inspections of all graphic displays to maintain alignment with IKEA’s visual identity and brand standards, including correct pricing and translations.
- Collaborate with the Sales and In-Store Logistics teams to execute graphic materials that support sales targets and the commercial activity calendar.
- Maintain graphic communication (e.g., signage, posters, notice boards) in both customer-facing and non-customer areas, ensuring all spaces reflect IKEA’s visual standards.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Implement changes to graphic materials in line with commercial activities, as directed by the Graphic Design Leader and store calendar.
- Stay updated on IKEA global guidelines and graphic communication updates from IKEA Sweden, using the IKEA toolbox and resources to build personal and team competence.
- Monitor competitor activity, local market trends, and customer preferences to enhance IKEA’s in-store visual communication and marketing impact.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Skilled in using sign-making equipment.
- Proficient in Macintosh-based graphic design software.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, and related design tools.
- High attention to detail and design accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Communication & Interior Design or similar graphic design role.
- Solid understanding of visual merchandising, brand identity, and graphic production processes.
