Job Role:
Support Freight Forwarding Global & Regional Leadership. Oversee and support the production of a standardized set of KPI’s for financial performance and analysis for use by the global and regional leadership of the freight forwarding business, to ensure global consistency of reporting and analytics across the business. Monitor the consistent implementation of DPW policies and procedures relating to FF finance by DPW regional business and finance teams, in particular as it relates to intercompany transactions and profit share rules. Support action plans to address underperforming business areas in order to drive market leading levels of profitability across the FF business.
Oversee the output of the global shared service centre (GSSC) as it relates to freight forwarding finance. Monitor SLA KPIs with GSSC across finance workstreams to ensure efficient delivery of services to meet business needs. Monitor the accurate performance of financial management down to gross profit level by the GSSC for all DPW FF business units, and the efficient and accurate hand-off of financial data to regional P&L owners. Coordinate the financial management and reporting of DP Worlds nominated NVOCC (Smart Solutions Line) via the GSSC.
Supporting the Global Head of Finance – Freight Forwarding as part of the team driving the corporate strategy to develop DP World into a top-10 global freight forwarder by the end of 2026. The role will input into the development and implementation of the global policies, procedures and systems required for the robust an efficient financial management and reporting of DP World’s target operating model for its freight forwarding business. This target operating model is intended to be highly efficient, driven by the use of technology and centralized, standardized operating and finance process run from a global shared service Centre which will enable DP World’s regional P&L owners to drive profitable growth in their freight forwarding business.

Job Responsibility:
Work with Regional finance teams to implement a globally consistent approach to financial management across the global shared service Centre and regional finance teams for freight forwarding, and support the set up of regional finance team requirements
Lease with Group Treasury to implement an effective global liquidity management approach for freight forwarding which meets the liquidity requirements of the business while maximizing ROCE.
Prepare management reporting comprising a consolidated global P&L, cashflow and balance sheet for Freight Forwarding with supporting narrative and KPI analysis, support and drive action plan to get business to targeted profitability
Prepare Customer Profitability analysis by product / market to assist both the freight forwarding business and DP World end-to-end logistics strategy
Conduct peer group financial analysis
Coordinate the output of the GSSC as it relates to the finance activities of freight forwarding, to ensure quality and efficiency of performance (including defining SLA KPIs)
Coordinate the finance activities and reporting of DPW NVOCC Smart Solutions Line with the SSC
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behavior’s in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
Perform other related duties as assigned
Support the definition and implementation of global financial policies, procedures & definitions as they relate to freight forwarding
Support the definition and implementation of global KPIs to ensure the effective financial management of the freight forwarding business in a globally consistent manner
Work with Group Technology to define and implement workflows and output requirements for Cargoes Runner and DPW finance systems (Oracle Fusion and local ERPs) and to ensure continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in management within the accounting / finance area
  • Experience in Freight Forwarding > 10 years at a regional or country leadership level
  • Experience in shared service Centre operations (ideally implementation)
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience, ideally in a financial field
    Preferred
  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent (required if Batchelor’s degree is non-financial)
