A leading industrial organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is hiring a General Superintendent – Security to oversee plant security operations, implement corporate security strategies, and maintain a safe and secure working environment. The successful candidate will supervise security programs, incident management, security systems, compliance, and team performance while ensuring alignment with international standards and local regulations.

This position is ideal for experienced security professionals with a background in manufacturing, industrial operations, ports, or large-scale facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

• Supervise daily security activities across assigned plant operations.
• Implement company security policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Monitor security performance and recommend continuous improvements.
• Ensure compliance with corporate security objectives and regulatory requirements.

Incident Management

• Lead investigations into security incidents and prepare detailed reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external authorities when required.
• Identify root causes of incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate records of security events and corrective actions.

Security Systems & Facility Protection

• Oversee the maintenance and testing of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, burglar alarm, and fire protection systems.
• Ensure all security equipment remains operational and complies with company standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Recommend improvements to enhance physical security across the facility.

Training & Security Awareness

• Plan and deliver security awareness training for employees.
• Promote best practices to strengthen workplace security culture.
• Support emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
• Provide guidance on security procedures and compliance requirements.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with local laws, international security standards, and company policies.
• Perform workplace security assessments and recommend corrective actions.
• Support internal and external audits related to security operations.
• Monitor security risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise security personnel and provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Allocate resources effectively to maintain efficient security operations.
• Encourage continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments to support business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional membership or security certification is considered an advantage.
• Certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) certification is preferred.

Experience

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in security, EHS, facility protection, or industrial security.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial plants, ports, or large infrastructure projects is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of industrial and corporate security practices.
• Understanding of the ISPS Code and physical security standards.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, burglar alarm, and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with SAP applications and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage investigations, compliance, and security operations.
• Arabic and English language skills are considered an advantage.
