Job Summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive is hiring a General Repair Technician to support its Electric Mobility service operations in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

This role is ideal for experienced automotive technicians who want to build a career in the growing electric vehicle (EV) industry.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

• Perform routine vehicle servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete repair work according to manufacturer standards and workshop procedures.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently.

Diagnostics & Repairs

• Diagnose vehicle faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective mechanical and electrical components.
• Test vehicles after repairs to verify proper operation.
• Follow technical manuals and service guidelines during repair work.

Workshop Operations

• Maintain accurate repair records and job documentation.
• Use workshop tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Support workshop productivity by completing assigned jobs within scheduled timelines.

Teamwork & Customer Service

• Work closely with supervisors and service advisors to ensure timely job completion.
• Communicate technical findings clearly with the workshop team.
• Contribute to delivering a positive customer service experience through quality workmanship.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and skills development.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC, or an equivalent qualification in Automotive, Mechanical, or a related technical field.

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, General Repair Technician, or Diagnostic Technician.
• Practical experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair.
• Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle problems.
• Familiarity with workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Good understanding of automotive systems and components.
• Ability to read technical manuals and repair documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
