Al-Futtaim Real Estate is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to support financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and reporting for its regional operations in Dubai, UAE. The role is responsible for preparing budgets and forecasts, analyzing financial performance, developing management reports, and providing actionable insights to support senior leadership in data-driven decision-making.

The FP&A Manager will work closely with business leaders, functional teams, Group Finance, Treasury, and other stakeholders to ensure financial plans and business strategies remain aligned with organizational objectives. The successful candidate should have strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, stakeholder management abilities, and a proactive approach to improving financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly MIS and Financial Reporting

  • Extract and consolidate financial information from multiple sources to prepare meaningful monthly Flash Performance Reports for SBU and Sub-SBU stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly Financial and Business Review packs for senior leadership within the Contracting division and Group Finance.
  • Collect and analyze information related to collections and payments from respective business units.
  • Manage monthly cash flow uploads into Anaplan.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis requested by Group Finance and Al-Futtaim Contracting management.
  • Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and relevant for management decision-making.

Budgeting and Financial Forecasting

  • Work with business and functional heads to prepare the annual Budget and three-year financial plan.
  • Ensure financial planning data is uploaded accurately and on time into SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Support the FP&A Lead in preparing and consolidating quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Ensure forecasts comply with Group financial planning guidelines and reporting timelines.
  • Communicate finalized budget and forecast P&L information to relevant SBU stakeholders.
  • Monitor business performance and highlight potential revenue shortfalls, cost overruns, and other financial risks.

Financial Analysis and Variance Reporting

  • Perform monthly financial variance analysis for individual Lines of Business (LOBs).
  • Identify significant differences between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Analyze overhead expenses at the General Ledger (GL) level to identify anomalies, unusual spending, and unbudgeted costs.
  • Review business operations and project performance to identify areas of over-spending or under-spending.
  • Provide financial insights and recommend appropriate corrective actions where required.

Business and Finance Support

  • Participate in monthly cash forecasting meetings with business teams and Group Treasury.
  • Track and close financial observations within agreed timelines.
  • Support HR with monthly manpower cost reports and provide relevant financial analysis and insights.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to fulfill Group reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to improve financial visibility and business performance.

AI, Automation and Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting and planning processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support the implementation of automation initiatives across FP&A activities.
  • Participate in Group-led AI training programs and apply relevant learnings to daily financial operations.
  • Look for opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Skills Required

  • Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling.
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation and financial reporting skills.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional qualification in Finance or Accounting, such as CA, ACCA, or CFA.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial planning, financial analysis, or a similar finance role.
  • Experience in the contracting or construction industry is preferred.
  • Practical experience with ERP and financial planning systems such as SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a regional or multi-business environment is an added advantage.
