To own and optimize the end-to-end process of planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, mobilization, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet services of around 13000 of Hertz and MOOV units, by reducing the cost of ownership and enhancing the processes while reducing overall turn around time of each function. Improving vehicles availability and reducing idle time while considering compliance and quality of assets
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance and performance with group policies and procedures.
Carry out and manage technical and operational activities for fleet management of the vehicles (Documentation, legalization, insurance, claims, taxes, fuel, permits, contract management and cost control).
Monitor and ensure fleet operations are in compliance with local and state rules and regulations; coordinate with DED, Dubai Police, AUH Police, RTA, DOT and other government authorities.
Manage PRO team and maintain traffic files open at all times.
Overseas and Improve vehicle registration, renewals process and all fleet services activities.
Maintain enhanced records of the fleet documents and provide analysis and reports on the status of the fleet services activities.
Set up policies, frameworks, KPI’s and governance for fleet services.
Ensure that the fleet replacement is optimized and manage the cost of LRF.
Manage the tracking and asset management of VMD devices, SALIK and other fleet assets.
Provide monthly report on fleet availability, mix and composition,
Provide monthly report on fleet maintenance activities and cost.
Provide monthly report on the fleet PRO activities.
Provide Quarterly report on team performance.
Review and establish fleet policies for total loss, insurance, vehicle replacement, purchasing, stock taking,
Develop and recommend policies and procedures for the efficient management of the fleet vehicles and equipment and software systems.
Establish and oversee data tracking practices including fleet mileage, repair requests, fuel management, vehicle replacement rates, inventory, operations and maintenance rates.
Determines, schedules, and coordinates purchase and retirement of fleet vehicles and equipment.
Oversee, direct, and participate in the development and administration of the assigned Fleet annual budget; participates in the forecast of funds needed for adequate staffing, equipment, materials and supplies for replacement; performs cost-analysis, authorizes and monitors expenditures, and implements adjustments.
Establish data management and analysis for Vehicle Monitoring Devices (Telematics) and provide business with revenue generating and cost cutting initiatives.
Oversee activities with regards to the repair and preventive maintenance and replacement of the fleet to reduce the fleet idle time.
Review, negotiate and manage agreements between Hertz and maintenance suppliers
Provide cost reduction initiative on SMR, tyres and overall repair of the fleet.
Oversee and continuously improve processes and procedures in repair and maintenance to reduce the cost of fleet.
Coordinate with vehicle remarketing team to ensure timely disposal of the sale stock and manage the re-ordering of the vehicle as per size, mix and composition.
Arrange timely exchange and transfer of the buyback units.
Proper reconciliation for the physical vehicle inventory in disposal stock.
Support in the preparation of annual budget fleet plan.
Carry out market consultations for the acquisition/contracting purposes of the new vehicles and improvement of the supply conditions.
Provide comprehensive reporting on the stocks, mix and composition, cost of ownership, utilization and WDV.
Perform physical inventory of the asset on a frequent basis.
Required Skills:
Experience in vehicle maintenance, rental and leasing models, large fleet procurement and telematics
5+ years of managerial experience or large teams and In-depth knowledge of the car industry and its current trends
7-10 years’ experience as manager in fleet management in Leasing and Rental companies
Experience in managing large fleet of above 3000 Vehicles
