Khansaheb Group is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Fitness Instructor in Dubai, UAE, to support members in achieving their fitness and wellness goals. The successful candidate will lead exercise sessions, demonstrate correct workout techniques, monitor member progress, and maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized fitness environment.
This full-time opportunity is suitable for fitness professionals with at least five years of relevant experience and a strong background in customer service. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for promoting physical well-being and delivering an outstanding member experience.
Key Responsibilities
Fitness Training and Exercise Instruction
- Lead individual and group exercise sessions, including strength training, weight training, and cardiovascular workouts.
- Demonstrate correct exercise techniques and explain workout routines to help members exercise safely and effectively.
- Provide guidance to members based on their fitness levels, goals, and individual requirements.
- Conduct initial fitness assessments and record relevant body measurements where appropriate.
- Monitor members’ progress and adjust exercise plans to support their fitness objectives.
- Motivate members to maintain consistent workout routines and overcome fitness challenges.
- Provide basic nutrition and healthy lifestyle guidance within the scope of the role and professional qualifications.
Member Engagement and Customer Service
- Engage proactively with members on the gym floor and provide assistance when needed.
- Deliver a friendly, professional, and high-quality customer experience.
- Respond to member questions and help them understand fitness equipment and exercise procedures.
- Conduct facility tours and assist new members with gym orientation and registration.
- Build positive relationships with members to encourage participation and satisfaction.
- Handle member information confidentially and maintain professional standards at all times.
Health, Safety and Facility Management
- Monitor members during workouts and correct improper exercise techniques to reduce the risk of injury.
- Ensure gym rules, safety procedures, and facility guidelines are followed.
- Perform routine fitness equipment safety checks and report damaged or faulty equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workout environment.
- Provide first aid or CPR in emergencies when appropriately trained and certified.
- Respond calmly and effectively to unexpected situations and escalate incidents when necessary.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Fitness Instructor or in a similar fitness industry role.
- Strong experience in a customer-facing position, preferably in a gym, fitness centre, health club, or wellness facility.
- Good knowledge of exercise techniques, strength training, cardiovascular workouts, and general fitness principles.
- Ability to demonstrate exercises and guide individuals or groups effectively.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle unexpected situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive member information.
- Proactive, resourceful, flexible, and able to work under pressure.
