As the Financial Controlling Manager at Al-Futtaim Retail Head Office, you will lead central retail controlling activities while ensuring full compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial regulations. Your role is critical in identifying and mitigating financial risks, driving process improvements, and delivering accurate and timely reporting across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with transfer pricing and manage intercompany transactions in line with group policies, ensuring timely settlements and accurate reporting.

Conduct regular reviews of the balance sheet and high-risk accounts, ensuring alignment with internal financial controls.

Lead monthly and weekly financial reporting, ensuring adherence to group standards.

Identify financial and accounting issues, provide actionable insights, and implement standardized processes in coordination with cross-functional teams (e.g., FSSC, O2C, Group Tax, Group Finance, P&C).

Oversee cost allocations, loyalty program management, revenue recognition, budget vs. actuals, accruals, and breakage management across retail brands.

Facilitate the timely issuance of store turnover audits and certifications across MENA and SEA regions in collaboration with external auditors.

Manage and negotiate insurance coverage for the entire retail group, including claims processing and premium negotiations.

Ensure full compliance with IFRS 16 for lease accounting, including accurate tracking and reporting of lease and PPE transactions.

Monitor and analyze promotions and gift voucher usage across the retail environment.

Support and ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax regulations, including documentation, reporting, and strategic tax planning initiatives.

Prepare and lead presentations and financial discussions with cross-functional teams and leadership on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.

Manage petty cash operations for the retail division, including monthly and annual reconciliations.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors, ensuring accurate and timely audit responses and compliance with IFRS and company policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial controlling or audit, preferably within the retail industry.

Strong technical knowledge of IFRS standards (particularly IFRS 16), transfer pricing, and UAE tax compliance.

Demonstrated leadership with excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficient in ERP systems and advanced financial reporting tools.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of driving cross-functional collaboration.
