Role Overview:
As an Accounts Receivable and Data Validation Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of sales invoicing and collections. Additionally, you will assist in preparing daily distributor reports summarizing admissions and gross box office collections for studio releases. This role also entails supporting various analysis and reporting tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Validation:

Conduct weekly data validation to ensure accuracy in sales invoicing.
Develop and submit sales order templates to Landesk (GS O2C portal).
Ensure timely sending of sales invoices and statements of account (SOA) to exhibitors via GS O2C.
Address any reconciliation issues raised by exhibitors promptly.
Accounts Receivable Management:

Manage debt collection activities and escalate issues within the business unit to prevent bad debts.
Coordinate payment tagging with the GS O2C team.
Ensure proper recording of withholding tax (WHT), deductions, and recharges by exhibitors in the financial system.
Customer Relationship Management:

Facilitate customer creation processes with the GS O2C team, ensuring all necessary documentation (e.g., trade licenses, tax information, bank details) is provided and verified.
Confirm World Check status with the GS O2C team for new customer setups.
Daily Distributor Report Preparation:

Assist in preparing the daily distributor report by compiling data from various sources to report admissions, gross box office, and average ticket prices.
Month-End Activities:

Support month-end closing activities, including revenue summaries, reconciliations, and other related tasks.
Reporting and Analysis:

Assist in fulfilling market reporting requirements and conducting analysis as necessary.
Support studio reporting requirements as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Proven experience in accounts receivable, data validation, and financial reporting.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial software.
Knowledge of O2C processes and systems is a plus.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Finance certifications such as CPA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent are advantageous.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel with a high level of accuracy in data entry.
